Credit Suisse launches Mena equities fund

Credit Suisse has launched its first equities fund dedicated to the Middle East and North Africa (Mena).

The SICAV One (Lux) Equity Middle East & North Africa Fund is open-ended and will target institutional and retail investors. Portfolio construction will be limited to 40-60 stocks. More than US$40mn has been raised for the fund already from institutional and private discretionary clients. 

The fund will be managed by Credit Suisse’s portfolio team in Dubai, led by Farid Samji. Samji has more than 11 years of asset management experience, primarily in the Middle East and North Africa.
