Saxo Bank, an online trading and investment specialist, has appointed Jakob Thomsen as senior executive officer in its Dubai office.
Thomsen will be heading the Saxo Bank office, which has its offices in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Thomsen’s new appointment comes into effect after previous SEO, Shailendra Patel, who established the bank's office in Dubai, stepped down from his position.
“Thomsen’s appointment as SEO is a valuable addition to our office in Dubai. His previous experience in the Middle East market makes him the right candidate for the role. In addition, his knowledge of the bank's customs and traditions makes him well-suited for this position,” says Lars Christensen, co-CEO and co-founder of Saxo Bank.
His new role as SEO will include overseeing the day to day operations and furthermore have the responsibility of all Saxo Banks activities in the Middle East. He joined Saxo Bank in the year 2001 and has taken up different roles and positions in which he has helped trigger the bank’s growth in the region.
