Doha Bank has announced that it is bolstering its senior management hierarchy with the appointment of Gerard Fitzgerald and Louis Scotto.
Fitzgerald has joined as assistant general manager – technology, operations & admin and brings with him more than 25 years of experience in financial services at senior levels. He worked for Citibank and Barclays Bank in Europe, Africa and the Middle East where he was part of the management team that implemented start-up operations in commercial, retail and consumer finance.
Scotto has been appointed as assistant general manager – retail banking and is a veteran banker with more than 35 years experience in the US, Europe and the Middle East. He too started his career with Citibank, New York, and then moved overseas where he was instrumental in establishing Citibank’s retail franchise in the Middle East. His regional exposure includes Riyadh Bank, National Bank of Kuwait, and the Emirates NBD Bank. He has also served as president of the American Business Council, Dubai.
