Ernst & Young boosts ME tax practice

Ernst & Young has appointed Sherif El-Kilany to lead its regional tax practice.

Based in Egypt, he has over 25 years of experience in tax services. El-Kilany has advised both local and global companies and has managed a number of tax restructurings. He has also handled negotiations with authorities in disputes relating to income tax, indirect tax, corporation tax, social insurance and sales tax.

Sherif is a fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors and the Egyptian Society of Taxation. He is co-chairman of the Customs and Taxation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Egyptian Businessmen's Association and heads the suburban chapter of the Egyptian Society of Taxation.
