Management changes at Global Investment House

Global Investment House has appointed Rajiv Nakani as senior vice-president and managing partner of Global Capital Management, its alternative asset management arm.

Nakani has more than 16 years of experience in investing and investment banking with experience in financial services, telecom, media, retail, logistics, healthcare, education and real estate.

He was the head of investment banking at Global from August 2004 to June 2007.

Before joining Global, Nakani was investment director at a private equity group in Dubai managing US$500mn in private equity funds, investing across Asia and North Africa. He has held several senior positions, including director, M&A for a major group in Kuwait, where he built the private equity platform for retail and food and beverages sectors, and led the acquisition and integration with a retail operation in Jordan. Earlier in his career he held research and credit roles in India and Kuwait.

Nakani has also held board and executive committee membership roles at various companies, including Avendus Capital, an investment banking company in India; Al Razzi Holding, an international healthcare private equity/buyout company; and Africa Business News, an African media company involved in business news services.
