John Cryan joins Singaporean investment firm as European president.
John Cryan, a former chief financial officer of UBS, has joined Singaporean state investment firm Temasek as its first president for Europe.
“We continue to evolve and grow to support our strategy and anticipate the opportunities and challenges ahead of us,” a spokesperson for Temasek told EMEA Finance. “John Cryan adds depth to our bench strength, bringing with him considerable experience and capabilities to our senior leadership focus on markets.”
While at UBS, Cryan held several senior roles including global head of the financial institutions group at the investment bank and CEO of UBS Limited. He also served as chairman and CEO for the bank’s operations in Europe, Middle East & Africa.
