Investment firm promotes Syzdykov to head emerging-market role and announces new hires.
Pioneer Investments, an investment firm owned by Italy’s UniCredit, has made several appointments in its London office to grow its emerging market and high-yield fixed income capabilities.
Yerlan Syzdykov, the firm’s senior portfolio manager for emerging markets and high-yield fixed income and lead manager of its emerging markets bond strategy, has been named head of emerging markets for bond and high yields. Syzdykov takes over from Greg Saichin, who has resigned.
Three new research analysts have joined Pioneer – Marina Vlasenko, covering emerging market financials; Paul Cheungcovering real estate; and Ray Jian, covering industrials.
The firm will also welcome two new portfolio managers with local currency and loan expertise in August: Desmond English from Commerzbank and Esther Law from Societe Generale.
