Bank names new Moscow equity trading head to strengthen Russian equity franchise.
Citi has appointed Yuri Aldakimov as Moscow equity trading head of its Citigroup Global Markets division.
Based in Moscow, Aldakimov will oversee Russian equities trading locally, reporting to Gil Peleg, head of the bank's equity trading desk for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Alexei Bolshakov, head of Russian equities.
Aldakimov joins from Sberbank CIB, where he was head of equity trading. He had previously worked at Otkrytie Financial Corporation and NIKoil, as well as Citi where he was a senior trader and co-head of the Russian equities trading team from 2005 to 2010.
