Former diplomat to take chairman’s role.
United Bank for Africa has appointed Joe Keshi chairman of its board of directors.
The career diplomat, who has had stints as permanent secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as Nigeria’s charge d’affaires to the Netherlands, replaces Israel Ogbue, who is standing down after two and a half years in the post.
The board has also appointed Rose Ada Okwechime as vice-chairman. She is currently the managing director of Abbey Building Society.
