Abu Dhabi-based bank names new head of corporate finance advisory.
First Gulf Bank has appointed Michael Aissaoui as its new head of corporate finance advisory.
Aissaoui joins the Abu Dhabi-based bank's wholesale banking group, reporting to divisional Simon Penney.
He joins the bank in his latest role in a 19-year corporate finance career. Most recently he was head of corporate finance advisory at National Bank of Abu Dhabi. Prior to that he worked in Societe Generale in Paris as head of mergers and acquisitions for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), where he helped to oversee the merger of property companies Aldar and Sorouh.
He has also worked at the World Bank on privatisation programmes in the MENA region and with Lafarge in the M&A team.
