Bank hires Marie Hong and Jasmine Tan in Hong Kong, Viplav Rathore in London.
Standard Chartered Bank has hired Marie Hong as an executive director in its Global Treasury Solutions unit, part of the bank’s transaction banking business. She’ll work with non-bank financial institution clients in Asia on treasury and cash management.
Based in Hong Kong, Hong joins Standard Chartered from Cigna Insurance, where she was the regional treasurer. She has also held senior treasury roles with direct-selling company Avon in the US.
Hong’s hiring follows the bank’s appointments of Viplav Rathore to cover European clients in a London-based role, and Jasmine Tan to focus on regional treasury centres in Hong Kong.
Hong, Rathore and Tan report to Victor Penna, head of treasury solutions in Standard Chartered's transaction banking team.
