Susan Brench appointed head of Santander UK’s Chemical Sectors team
The newly created role underscores Santander’s appetite for the chemical sector, at a time of strong market opportunity.
In January, Santander Corporate and Commercial announced it had appointed Susan Brench as head of its chemical sectors team. At a time when the UK chemical sector is growing quickly, this newly created role will enable Santander to double down its focus in this area.
“Santander provides holistic support for businesses in the chemical sector and is able to offer much more than purely lending or even just financial support,” Brench tells EMEA Finance. “Our global reach means that we are able to help businesses to grow both domestically and overseas by connecting them to the markets that offer the best opportunities for their sector.”
With over 30 years’ experience of senior commercial management in industry, Brench’s background is derived primarily from the chemical manufacturing sector – although she has also spent time at two major UK banks. She has worked with clients in Europe, the USA and Japan, and holds a degree in natural sciences and chemical engineering.
