Slovenian manufacturer seals secondary listing on Polish exchange, raising US$22mn.
Gorenje, a Slovenian company manufacturer of domestic appliances such as freezers, cookers and washing machines, has become the latest business to list on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), raising PLN70.5mn (US$22.9mn).
The company joined the market during its last trading session of the year, December 30, ending a busy year for the WSE – the annual value of IPOs on the exchange stood at PLN5.1bn, a rise of 49.4% compared to 2012.
Gorenje becomes the third Slovenian company listed on the WSE, joining Nova KBM and KRKA. The company has been listed on Slovenia’s Ljubljana Stock Exchange since 1998, and in late 2013 sold a stake of its business to Japan’s Panasonic Corporation.
