NBAD appoints operations divisional manager

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has appointed Nigel Carrington as divisional manager of operations.

Carrington, a British national, is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and has extensive experience in the banking industry in the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Commenting on the appointment, Abdulla Mohammed Saleh Abdul Raheem, NBAD’s senior general manager and group COO says: “The bank has achieved excellent financial returns for its shareholders over the last several years and Carrington joins the bank to strengthen the team to help achieve our growth targets”.

During his 38 years of experience, Carrington held senior positions in global and regional banks. He has built strong relationships and networks with major corporate and financial institutions and gained experience in various fields of the banking industry especially credit risks, debt recovery, international and domestic marketing, operations and projects.

Before joining NBAD, he was head of operations with the Commercial Bank of Kuwait.

In his role as NBAD’s operations division manager, Carrington will focus on streamlining the bank’s internal operations to deliver improved standards of service.
