Nomura appoints head of EMEA fixed income research

Nomura has appointed Jim McCormick as head of fixed income research, EMEA. He will be responsible for all fixed income research activities in the region including economics, dedicated product strategies and portfolio solutions for clients.

McCormick joins from Citigroup where he was global head of FX and local markets strategy. Before that he worked at Lehman Brothers for seven years, first as head of FX and emerging markets strategy and later as co-head of global liquid markets strategy.

Since April 2009, the EMEA division increased its headcount by 20%.
