Changes at DLA Piper's Dubai office

DLA Piper has appointed Jim Delkousis as the new office managing partner for its Dubai office. Delkousis will officially take up the role in January 2010, succeeding Tony Holland who has been appointed as CEO for DLA Phillips Fox in Australia, effective February 15, 2010.

Delkousis joined DLA Piper's Dubai office in 2007 from Australian law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques, where he had been a partner since 1999. He has more than 20 years of experience in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on major infrastructure projects.

He is head of the litigation and regulatory practice in the Middle East and he will continue to lead the group when he takes up his new role.

Tony Holland is also regional head of finance for the Middle East at DLA Piper and Dubai-based partner, Shehzaad Sacranie, has been appointed to succeed him in this role, effective February 1, 2010. Sacranie has extensive project finance and Islamic finance experience in the Middle East. He has advised a number of global financial institutions with interests across the Middle East.
