Bank names CEEMEA global markets boss as new regional head for Middle East and Dubai CEO.
Societe Generale has named Richad Soundardjee, previously its head of global capital markets for the CEEMEA region, as group chief region officer for the Middle East, as well as chief executive officer of Societe Generale Dubai.
Based in Dubai, Soundardjee now reports to Slawomir Krupa, the bank’s CEO of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa for corporate and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services.
Soundardjee joined Societe Generale in 1994, initially working in equity capital markets. In 2003, he joined the bank’s bond syndication department to run private-placement activity, and in 2009 took his CEEMEA capital markets leadership position.
In his new roles he replaces Eric Wormser, who will be appointed in another senior position within the group.
