Standard Bank's former head of debt markets to run DCM division.
South African asset manager and investment bank Investec has hired Florian von Hartig as its new head of debt capital markets.
Working in London, von Hartig will report to Chris Meyer, the firm's head of corporate and institutional banking.
Von Hartig joins from Standard Bank, where he spent the past nine years. He was global head of debt primary markets in the investment banking division, and since July had been head of debt origination in the global markets business.
His prior roles include stints at JP Morgan, where he was co-head of debt capital markets for Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and Commerzbank, where he was head of debt markets for Northern Europe.
