Soanes steps up to replace BAML-bound Koder.

UBS has promoted David Soanes to lead its global capital markets business.

Soanes, who was the division’s deputy head, replaces Matthew Koder after he left the Swiss bank to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).

Rob Joliffe will be Soanes’ deputy while continuing to co-head UBS’ debt capital market’s team.

Soanes will now sit on the investment bank’s executive committee and will also lead its equity capital markets team.
