Former SocGen equity head joins UniCredit-owned investment manager.
Pioneer Investments, an investment management group owned by Italian bank UniCredit, has hired Sean Taylor as head of global emerging markets equity.
Taylor has more than 18 years of experience managing emerging market equity funds and has worked in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He was previously investment director at GAM and head of global equity at Société Générale Asset Management UK.
Based in London, he will report to Mauro Ratto, formerly head of investments for Europe and Asia, who has become head of emerging markets, responsible for equity and bonds. Pioneer Investments manages some €7bn (US$9.6bn)-worth of emerging markets assets.
