Former UBS banker focuses on equities trading in EMEA.
Nomura has appointed Steven Downey as its head of equities trading in EMEA.
Downey will focus on expanding Nomura’s derivatives businesses. He also becomes co-head of derivatives for the region and joins the bank’s European equities executive management committee.
Based in London, he reports to Sam Ruiz, head of equities in EMEA, and Christian Dalban, global head of equities trading.
Downey joins from UBS, where he was head of equity derivatives trading in EMEA.
