Investment bank hires Morgan Stanley banker to head up debt and equity execution.

Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital has hired Isabella da Costa Mendes as managing director and head of ECM and DCM execution.

Da Costa Mendes, who is based in London, joins Renaissance Capital from Morgan Stanley, where she was responsible for its emerging markets credit structuring business for Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East & Africa region.

The news follows RenCap’s announcement that it has restructured its Equity Products Group.
Rupert Hope and Florian Hellmich, based in New York and London respectively, have been promoted to co-heads of distribution globally, managing sales teams in Russia, the CIS, Johannesburg, London, New York, Lagos, Istanbul and Nairobi.

In Russia, Will Abbott and Evgueni Konovalenko have been appointed as co-heads of Russia and CIS equities, with Maria Shatalina promoted to head of Russian product distribution.

In South Africa, Ali Khalpey has been promoted to head of South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa equities.
