Japanese bank appoints new EMEA head.
Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTMU), Japan’s largest bank, has named Masato Miyachi its chief executive officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will report to Takashi Morimura, deputy president of the bank and chief executive of its global business unit.
Masato joined Bank of Tokyo, a predecessor of BTMU, in 1984 and has been deputy CEO of the bank’s EMEA business since last year, based in London. He said of his appointment,
“I’m proud to have been asked to lead BTMU’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and look forward to continuing to enhance our suite of products and services to current and new clients alike.”
