Jeffries names head of CDO/CLO trading

Sharif Anbar-Colas to head up investment bank’s London-based operation.

Investment banking firm Jefferies has appointed Sharif Anbar-Colas as a managing director and head of collaterised loan obligation (CLO) and collaterised debt obligation (CDO) trading in its London office.  

Anbar-Colas will be responsible for all CLO/CDO trading in the firm’s mortgage- and asset-backed securities group, which now has an 85-strong team in the US, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

He joins from Cohen & Company, where he was a managing director and head of European ABS and global CLO trading.  Previously, he worked at UBS as an executive director and head of global CDO trading.  He has also held positions at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers.
