Two new hires at Raymond James European Investment Banking

The midmarket investment banking firm welcomes Allan Bertie and Alastair Rogers as it seeks to expand its presence across Europe.

Raymond James European Investment Banking has made several key appointments in the first half of the year. Allan Bertie, the new co-head of European Iinvestment banking, started his role at the end of March. A few weeks later, Alastair Rogers joined the team as a managing director in the diversified industrials sector.

The new hires, who are based in London, join at an exciting time for Raymond James European Investment Banking. Despite the onset of lockdown, the firm is growing rapidly across the continent. A market leader in the US, Raymond James launched its European operations in 2016 and has offices in London, Munich and Frankfurt.

“My role here is to drive the business forward, and build upon the success of the platform we already have both in Germany and the UK,” Allan Bertie tells EMEA Finance. “We’ve got about 75 investment banking professionals in the business across Europe at the moment, and our aim is to build on our vision of being a strong mid-market investment bank, offering really strong domain knowledge in our sectors. We deliver those services on a global basis, aligning with our US colleagues where appropriate to service the client’s needs.”
