New hires at Citi’s equity team

Michela Ferrulli, the new head of equities sales and sales trading for CEEMEA, is the latest addition to a fast-changing team as the bank redoubles its focus on equities.

In March, Citi’s equities team announced the latest in a long string of recent hires. Michela Ferrulli, who rejoins the bank after nearly six years with Merrill Lynch, has been appointed managing director and head of equities sales and sales trading for CEEMEA. She was previously at Citi from 2001-2012, when she worked in EMEA and Latin American sales.

Ferrulli will be based in London, where she will report to Mark Robinson, EMEA head of cash equities. She will also work closely with Samantha Huggins, who has headed up equity sales and trading for developed markets in EMEA since 2015.

“The hire of Michela highlights our commitment to our equities platform – she brings 20 years of experience to the role with in-depth knowledge of CEEMEA markets,” David Haldane, EMEA head of equities at Citi, tells EMEA Finance.
