Russian investment bank names new MENA chief economist.
VTB Capital, the investment banking arm of Russia’s VTB Bank, has named Raza Agha as chief economist for the Middle East and Africa with its research department.
Agha joins VTB Capital from RBS in London, where he was senior economist. He has also worked in the research departments at Saudi American Bank, the World Bank and the Central Bank of Pakistan.
He will be based in London and report to Alexander Pukhaev and Dmitry Dmitriev, global co-heads of research, and regionally to Makram Abboud, CEO for the Middle East and Africa.
