Standard Chartered sets up in Angola

Bank forms partnership with local insurance company.

Standard Chartered Bank has opened an onshore subsidiary in Angola. The company has been formed in partnership with ENSA, a local insurance company, with the former taking a 60% stake in the joint venture.

Standard Chartered Bank Angola will be headed by Miguel Miguel, an Angolan national with more than 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
