Head of Morgan Stanley MidEast steps down

Morgan Stanley’s president of Middle East and North Africa operations, Georges Makhoul, is stepping down.

Habib Achkar, head of the investment bank’s Saudi Arabian unit, will be replacing Makhoul, the lender has said.

Achkar will take on the role of regional manager for the New York-based bank's Middle East and North Africa operations. Achkar will continue to serve as CEO of Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia along with the new regional manager role.
