Bank focuses on emerging Europe with new hires.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has enhanced its global banking and markets coverage in Central and Eastern Europe by making three senior appointments.

Dimitri Danilenko, Artur Kozieja and Michal Krupinski have joined the bank to strengthen its emerging market presence.

Danilenko is the new head of corporate banking in CEE, while Kozieja joins as head of investment banking for the region. Krupinski becomes head of global banking and markets in Poland.

Based in London, Danilenko joins from HSBC where most recently he was a senior relationship manager responsible for financial institutions across emerging Europe.

Kozieja’s was previously an investment banking director at Barclays Capital. His other positions include stints at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse.

Krupinski will be based in Warsaw where he will be responsible for co-ordinating the bank’s global banking and markets activity in Poland. He was formerly working for the World Bank.

Andrea Orcel, BAML’s emerging markets (ex-Asia) president, said these appointments reinforce the bank’s commitment to Poland and the wider CEE region.
