SocGen makes business line reshuffle

Investment bank bolsters executive committee and reorganises various divisions.

Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking has bolstered its executive committee and announced several new business segments in a move the bank says is aimed at “strengthening the synergies between business lines as well as enhancing distribution capabilities”.

New appointments to the bank’s extended executive committee include Vincent Mortier, chief financial officer, and Sylvie Préa, head of human resources.

In the coverage and investment banking division, the bank has regrouped its equity capital markets and M&A advisory activities, creating a corporate finance business line and a financial institutions department.

In the global finance division, the bank has created three new business lines – finance, energy and natural resources, and capital markets.

Finally, in the global markets division, the bank has announced a new line for fixed income and currencies work.
