Citadel Capital chooses Finance Unlimited CEO

Private equity house appoints former Investec manager to financial services group.

Egyptian private equity firm Citadel Capital has appointed Amr Seif as chief executive officer of Finance Unlimited, which oversees its investments in financial services.

Seif joins from Investec Asset Management in London, where he set up the company’s MENA equity practice and was the portfolio manager for its MENA and Africa-Middle East funds. He previously managed Middle East and Eastern Europe funds at JP Morgan and has also worked at Citibank in Egypt.

Finance Unlimited’s portfolio companies include investment bank Pharos Holding; Tanmeyah, which provides loans to the poor; and the Sudanese-Egyptian Bank.
