Amaechi Ndili to find new opportunities in West Africa.

Emerging Capital Partners (ECP), an Africa-focused private equity firm, has named Amaechi Ndili as the head of its operations in Nigeria.

Based in Lagos, Amaechi will find new investment opportunities and work with ECP’s portfolio companies to improve their operations.

The appointment strengthens the firm’s expertise in West Africa, an area ECP’s co-founder Hurley Doddy describes as one of the fastest growing regions in the world.

Ndili is the founder and executive chairman of Lionstone, a proprietary investment and holding company, which has offshore marine services and hospitality interests in West Africa.

Prior to joining ECP Ndili was a managing director in the real estate group at GE Capital. His previous roles have also included being an associate manager at McKinsey specialising in the power industry.

ECP’s portfolio companies in the region include telecommunications infrastructure specialist IHS, integrated energy company Oando, reinsurance company CRe and fertiliser producer Notore.
