Project will represent 14% of country’s wind generation capacity.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has agreed to fund the biggest wind farm in Poland with a PLN178mn (US$61mn) loan.
The Margonin wind farm is ran by wind company EDP Renovaveis and has a capacity of 120 megawatts. Its annual energy production is expected to represent 14% of wind generation capacity in Poland.
The wind farm is co-financed by the European Investment Bank, which is also providing a matching PLN 178mn loan, and a group of commercial banks.
