Russian bank hires Kovalev from Sberbank to head project finance department.
Russia’s Nomos Bank has named Alexei Kovalev as head of its project financing department.
Kovalev will be tasked with boosting the bank’s presence in the project finance market, creating a diversified project portfolio and developing long-term financing.
He joins from Sberbank where he headed the project and investment financing division. From 2008 to 2011 he worked at Alfa-Bank as head of project and structured finance, and was in charge of syndicated loans with foreign banks, project finance and structured transactions. Other previous roles include time with Raiffeisenbank Austria.
