Samena welcomes new executive

Former Georgian economic minister joins investment group.

Samena Capital has appointed Ekaterina Sharashidze as an executive director responsible for strategy and business development.
 
Sharashidze will help the investment group to find new deals. She has more than 15 years of venture capital and investment banking experience, and spent five years in the Georgian government, where she was minister of economic development and chief economic adviser to the president.

Samena Capital focuses on the SAMENA region (Subcontinent, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa) and has some US$400mn of assets under management. The firm has two investment advisers in London and Hong Kong and a research office in Bahrain.
