Asset manager appoints senior director for CEE and the Middle East.

Franklin Templeton Investments, a US-based asset manager, has named Adam Quaife as senior director for Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, responsible for leading the firm’s retail and institutional businesses in these regions.

Quaife takes up his new role in August, focusing on countries including Poland, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Romania, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.

Based in Dubai, Quaife reports to Vivek Kudva, the firm’s managing director of India and CEEMEA. He replaces Andrew Ashton, who is relocating to California to become head of the firm’s international consultant and research group.

Quaife joined Franklin Templeton’s institutional business in 2002 and established the firm’s Sydney office two years later. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton he held business development positions at AXA and Colonial First State.

Franklin Templeton Investments has 30 international offices and established its first CEEMEA office in South Africa 17 years ago.
