Investment bank appoints former BAML analyst to lead research team.

Renaissance Capital, a Russian investment bank, has appointed Ivan Tchakarov as chief economist for Russia & CIS.

Tchakarov will cover all Russia & CIS economics research, managing the Russia & CIS research team.

He joins Renaissance from an economist role at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Moscow. Prior to that, he was chief economist for Russia & CIS at Nomura/Lehman Brothers, and an economist at the International Monetary Fund.
