EU institution hires Romania’s former minister of public finance.
The European Investment Bank has named Mihai Tanasescu as vice-president and a member of its management committee.
He succeeds Plutarchos Sakellaris, who completed a four-year term in the post.
Tanasescu, a Romanian, previously served as senior adviser to the executive director at the IMF. He was Romania’s minister of public finance from 2000 until 2004.
