Bank hires former Deutsche dealmaker.
Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Apoorva Shah as managing director for mergers and acquisitions for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Shah joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was regional head of M&A. He moved to Dubai from London in June 2007 with Deutsche and joins Standard Chartered with 16 years of experience in banking and finance.
David Law, Standard Chartered’s regional head of wholesale banking, said: “As investor confidence returns to the region, our M&A dialogue with our clients is intensifying.”
