€15mn will support energy efficiency projects.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has lent €15mn to Bank Zachodni WBK to support energy efficiency initiatives in Poland.

The funds will be invested by BZ WBK Finance & Leasing, a Bank Zachodni subsidiary, in sustainable energy projects.

The loan is part of the EBRD’s €150mn Poland Sustainable Energy Financing Facility and will support SMEs with their energy efficiency improvements or to build small-scale renewable energy projects. Businesses across a range of sectors could benefit from the funding, including manufacturers, retailers and agriculture companies.
