Chairmen propose new Raiffeisen Bausparkasse CEO.

Manfred Url could be the next chief executive of Austrian bank Raiffeisen Bausparkasse, following a recommendation by two of the group’s leading players.

Christian Konrad and Walter Rothensteiner, two of the bank’s supervisory board chairmen, proposed the move following the announcement that Erich Rainbacher will retire later in the year after 36 years service.

It has also been recommended that Johannes Schuster will replace Url on RZB’s board.

Konrad said Url is the best choice to continue the group’s success while Schuster is one of Austria’s most experienced young managers. “By making these proposals, we are making decisive staff changes in key companies of the Raiffeisen banking group. Moreover, Manfred Url and Johannes Schuster have Raiffeisen in their blood.”
