French bank hires former Rothschild director as new head of M&A.

French bank Natixis has hired Vincent Berry as its new head of M&A, reporting to Virginie Banet, head of coverage.

Berry began his career in 1997 in an ABN Amro-Rothschild joint venture dedicated to equity capital markets. He has since worked in the global financial advisory team at Rothschild & Cie, where he developed a franchise on the energy, environment and infrastructure sectors and was director within the utilities-transport-infrastructures team since 2007.

Berry’s hire follows several other appointments in Natixis’s corporate and investment banking division earlier in the month as the bank overhauls its business model. These included Yann Gindre’s appointment as CEO of CIB EMEA and Luc François’ as head of capital markets. All appointments will become effective in September.
