MacMahon promoted following Lees’ departure.

Citi has appointed Alexandra MacMahon as its new head of EMEA financial institutions group (FIG) debt capital markets.

She replaces Chris Lees, who left the bank in May to join Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

MacMahon joined Citi 18 months ago to work with the bank’s UK and Irish FIG issuers. She was previously co-head of FIG debt capital markets at Morgan Stanley and Crédit Agricole.

She reports to Paul Young, head of debt capital markets EMEA, and will work closely with Simon McGeary, head of new products.
