Index provider brings total number of offices to 13.

FTSE Group, the global index provider, has opened an office in Dubai. Located in the Dubai Financial Centre, the company’s 13th branch will act as a gateway to the company’s fast-growing Middle East and Africa business.

Since 2010, FTSE has classified the United Arab Emirates as ‘secondary emerging’ in its Global Equity Index Series and Kuwait is currently on the watchlist to join it. In Africa, FTSE has long been involved with the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) where it calculates 110 indexes across the FTSE/JSE Index Series.
