Credit Suisse has appointed Anthony Armstrong as head of M&A in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Based in Dubai, Armstrong reports functionally to David Livingstone, head of M&A for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and regionally to Jeffrey Culpepper, vice-chairman and head of the investment banking department for the MENA region.
He was previously a managing director of Credit Suisse in the Americas M&A group, based in Los Angeles. In this role, he spearheaded the M&A business in the Western Region of the Americas. He has advised companies across a broad range of industries on strategic matters including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and hostile transactions. He has also advised on a number of cross border US – MENA region transactions.
