Irina Bauer will join the board of directors of AsiaUniversalBank in August, overseeing the international activities of the bank.
Before joining the board of directors of AsiaUniversalBank, Bauer held various senior management positions in the American Express Bank for about 10 years. Following the acquisition of American Express Bank by Standard Chartered Bank in 2008, Bauer was appointed CEO in Standard Chartered Bank Kazakhstan as well as holding the senior banker position. Her responsibilities involved all aspects of banking business, including strategic development, credit policy, compliance and risk management.
AsiaUniversalBank is the largest bank in the Kyrgyz Republic by total assets, deposit base, shareholders’ equity, branch network and net profit.
