FirstRand has named Jabu Khethe as the new chief executive of its African operations.
Khethe, who steps up from leading FNB’s African subsidiaries, will be responsible for growing the South African bank’s business across the continent.
FirstRand’s chief executive, Sizwe Nxasana, said the bank’s growth strategy is executed through its franchises, FNB, RMB and WesBank, but added that this appointment was made to develop a more co-ordinated approach across the entire group.
