EMEA CEO appointed as group executive director.
Standard Chartered has appointed Viswanathan Shankar, its CEO for EMEA and the Americas, as group executive director.
Singaporean Shankar joined Standard Chartered in 2001 and was appointed to the group management committee in 2007. He is also a director of Standard Chartered Bank and chairman of principal finance and Standard Chartered Private Bank.
He will continue to be based in Dubai.
