Stock exchange promotes Al-Mansoori to CEO after 18 months in deputy role.
Qatar’s stock exchange has named its new chief executive officer.
The Qatar Exchange has promoted Rashid Bin Ali Al-Mansoori to the post – Al-Mansoori has been deputy CEO for the past 18 months. Former CEO Andre Went will now act as a strategic adviser to the exchange.
Al-Mansoori previously worked as IT director at the Qatar Investment Authority, where he was responsible for establishing the IT department and setting investment and financial system applications. He also served as IT director at the Qatar Olympics and has held several financial roles in the refining department of Qatar Petroleum.
